Lancaster Chamber of Commerce – 120th Birthday

By | Uncategorised | No Comments

I am incredibly proud to be a member of the Lancaster & District Chamber or Commerce and I was delighted to attend their 120th birthday this week at the Aspect Bar & Bistro in Morecambe.

The Chamber aims to support business’ across North Lancashire – to make them more profitable, but also to build partnerships and an environment where business’ can grow and prosper. The Chamber team offer a range of services to support this and they make good recommendations as to what they think will work for your firm.

The Chamber hit it’s 120th birthday with a bang – congratulating the President Alistair Eagles and Vice President Mal Garnett into their new positions. The team also confirmed that they had hit their fundraising target of £1500.00 to buy a new syringe driver for St. John’s Hospice in Lancaster. On a personal note, I met a couple of great new contacts; Michael Pickthall of Pinpoint Management Consultants Ltd and David Lancaster – a magician who blew me away with his talents!

The Aspect Bar & Bistro was the perfect place to hold this event, with an awesome view across Morecambe Bay – the defining landmark of our area. It really highlighted how lucky we are to live and work in the area, but there was a sharp focus to really make the most of the 120th year of the Chamber. Tasty bar snacks were served, along with a variety of fancy cocktails from their extensive menu. It was lovely to watch a little band play, sipping something quite fruity – with the incredible view of the bay. I was really impressed by the service, so I hope to return soon!

It really is all systems go! If you would like to know more about getting involved with the Chamber, then feel free to drop me a message or have a look at their website for more details www.lancaster-chamber.org.uk.

Bosch Power Tools for Professionals – Product Review

By | Uncategorised | No Comments

Being an electrician, there is always power to get moving in new homes or renovations. With a lot to do, I need the best tools in the market to help me complete jobs quickly and effectively. The strong and light Bosch Power Tools for Professionals suit how I work perfectly.

I purchased my tools from www.datapowertools.co.uk in October 2016. The site is really easy to navigate and I was able to build my own cordless kit, tailoring it specifically to my needs. I have been really impressed with the ease of use, power and reliability from my Bosch Cordless Power Tools, so I thought that I would share a review just in case you are thinking of purchasing!

My kit is made up of:

  • Bosch GBH36VF-LI Plus 36v SDS+ Hammer Drill

This has endless power and absolute control. Up to 50% faster work rate due to higher single impact energy. LED work light for an optimum view of the work position.

  • Bosch 18v Combi Drill & Impact Driver

Compact, powerful and robust. It has a motor break for precise work when driving rows of screws. The ergonomically shaped handle and soft grip covering is perfect for low-fatigue working.

  • Bosch GDX18v-EC 18v Cordless Impact Driver/Wrench

The most universal impact driver – with amazing lifetime. It’s compact design means perfect handling, even in the tightest spaces!

  •  Bosch GOP 18 V-28 18v Cordless Brushless Multi Tool

A cordless powerhouse with quick accessory changes. Snap-in function for tool-free accessory changes in 3 seconds, ensures a faster work rate.

The batteries last an absolute lifetime; not having to change batteries every two seconds, really helps me to focus on the job in hand and complete tasks quickly. I find that the tools are light and easy to handle; working in tight spaces is not an issue and my arms don’t seem to get as tired when I am holding the units for longer periods of time. As I have been using the tools every day since October 2016, I thought that I would start to see some signs of wear and tear. However, the units are incredibly robust and I can for see them being presentable for more years to come!

The brand and type of product that we use is entirely personal, but I would definitely recommend considering the Bosch tools the next time that you are in the market. If you’ve got any questions, then just drop me a line!
